Canon EOS 5D Mark IV and Canon EF 100-400mmL f/4.5-5.6 IS II USM

What Kalon says about it:

This is my go-to camera body and lens when I am in the field photographing wildlife. The combination of this duo's manageable size and professional media delivery are truly superior. You get reduced aberration and distortion along with excellent clarity, sharpness, and color reproduction throughout the entire zoom range of the lens. In addition, the lens's optical stabilizer - equivalent to four stops - facilitates production of sharper images when shooting by hand or with a monopod. Normally, image quality with a f/4.5-5.6 lens suffers when shooting in marginal light, but the 5D Mark IV makes up for this with its 30+ megapixels, full-frame CMOS sensor, Digic 6+ image processor and native ISO range of 100-32,000.

If I'm photographing smaller mammals or birds, I like to add the Canon EF 1.4x III extender to enhance my focal length from 100-400mm to 140-560mm. However, when adding the lens extender, it's important to keep in mind that the autofocus will be limited to only the center focus points, the f/stop is reduced to f/6.3-8, and image sharpness will suffer slightly.

Finally, I really love the ability to convert this lens into a spotting scope by attaching a Kenko Lens2scope Adapter, which is a must for any avid birder.

What B&H  Photo Video says about it:

5D MARK IV:

Continuing on in their legacy of powerful workhorse cameras, Canon has released the 5D Mark IV DSLRwhich is an outstanding still photography option and an able 4K-capable video machine. This multimedia maven offers a newly developed 30.4MP full-frame CMOS sensor paired with the DIGIC 6+ image processor in order to balance fine detail and resolution with low-light performance and sensitivity. It is able to work within a native range of ISO 100-32000, which can then be expanded to an impressive ISO 50-102400, for sharp, low-noise images in a variety of conditions. Along with these improvements to image quality, users will enjoy a performance boost across the board with an enhanced AF system, built-in Wi-Fi, NFC, and GPS, and much more.

CANON EF 100-400MML

A long-reaching telephoto zoom characterized by a sophisticated optical design and advanced image stabilization technologies, the Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II USM Lens is part of the esteemed L-series developed for full-frame EOS DSLRs. One fluorite element and one Super UD element have been incorporated into the lens' construction, and both help to reduce aberrations and distortions throughout the zoom range in order to deliver notable clarity, image sharpness, and faithful color reproduction. An Air Sphere Coating has also been applied to lens elements in order to reduce lens flare and ghosting for more contrast-rich imagery. Benefitting the optical components of the lens, a four-stop effective Optical Image Stabilizer helps to minimize the appearance of camera shake and can be dedicated to different styles of shooting. Furthermore, a redeveloped rotation-type zoom ring pairs with an internal focusing mechanism, and an Ultrasonic Motor, to deliver quick and intuitive handling to benefit handheld shooting. Positioned as a versatile option for sports and wildlife photographers, this lens' list of attributes make it a viable telephoto zoom for a variety of shooting applications.
